Can Arceus be captured?
If you're playing Pokémon Legends Arceus and you've been playing for a few dozen hours now, you may be wondering if it's possible to capture Arceus, the Pokémon that gives its name to this game. The short answer is yes.
Gigaton Ball
The ultimate form of the Heavy and Leaden ball. It boasts a capture rate greater than anything else in the game, presuming the wielder of such a ball is capable of shooting it at their target unnoticed.
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, due to the Hisui region being an older version of what has since been known as Sinnoh, many of the features players are used to have not yet been invented. One of these is the Master Ball, which players will not be able to obtain at any point in their Hisui adventure.

Knock Off inflicts damage and renders the target's held item unusable for the rest of the battle (even if switched out). The Pokémon is still listed as holding the item on the status screen and cannot obtain another item, nor can it restore the knocked off item with Recycle.
Arceus was saved by a man named Damos, from the wasteland town of Michina, when he returned the plates to Arceus. Feeling pity for the town and in an act of gratitude, Arceus fused five of its plates into the Jewel of Life, which made the land rich and fertile.
Most of these balls can be crafted, and some lower-tier ones can eventually be bought from merchants. The Origin Ball is the lone exception to this rule, as it is Pokemon Legends' equivalent to a Master Ball. There is only one, and it is given to the player late in the game.
1) Master Ball
The Master Ball has a catch rate modifier of 255x, making its catch rate 100 percent all the time. That's how powerful it is, but just like the saying goes, “with great power comes great responsibility.”
The Master Ball (マスターボール, Masutaa Booru) is the rarest and most powerful Ball available in all games. It was originally manufactured by Silph Co. in Saffron City, but only a few were produced, as Team Rocket hijacked the building and attempted to steal them. Due to this, the Master Ball as a whole was discontinued.
Master Balls have a 100% catch rate. That's why it's important to only use them when you basically don't have a choice, as you usually only get one in each of the games.
Can you get arceus without cheating?
In order to get one now, you'll have to either trade someone for it, or use cheat codes to gain access to the old events. You can get Arceus in all the Nintendo DS versions of Pokémon, but to get it in the 3DS games, you'll need to transfer it over.
Completing the Pokedex is the Only Way to Catch Arceus
It's hard work, but definitely achievable, and adding the literal god of Pokemon to the team is a worthwhile reward.
Releasing multiple Pokemon isn't difficult, but it can be easy to miss how to do it. If you have a full party of six Pokemon with you at a given time, all the extras you catch will automatically go into Pastures, the Arceus version of Pokemon PC boxes (and still represented by boxes in the in-game icons).
In order to encounter Arceus, you need to catch every Pokémon in the game. That's no easy task, but thankfully we've got a list of the complete Pokédex, so that should make things a bit easier. Once you've done that, head back to the Sinnoh Temple and play the Azure flute.
Pokémon Legends Arceus has three endings: the main ending (main campaign, to see the credits), the true ending (defeat a certain character and get THAT item) and the secret ending, which gives access to the showdown against the last Pokémon in the game.
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you'll be working to survey the Hisui Region, catching and studying its wild Pokémon. However, unlike past games, wild Pokémon will directly attack you. If they damage you enough, you'll black out and respawn at your base camp.
About halfway through the Pokemon Legends: Arceus story, you encounter the Noble Hisuian version of Arcanine. Despite two other battles after Arcanine, most players agree this is the most intense battle.
Arceus is, without a doubt, the most powerful Legendary Pokémon. This Normal type Mythical Pokémon is the creator of the universe and thus the closest that the Pokémon world has to a god. When it hatched from its egg, Arceus brought with it time, space, and antimatter in the form of the Creation Trio.
Ho-Oh is the first Legendary Pokémon Ash encounters and the first Legendary to appear in the anime series.
Can you capture alpha Arceus?
Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Alpha Pokémon are bigger and stronger than normal Pokémon, but they can still be caught.
Arceus is a Normal-type Pokémon in its base form, and is therefore weak against Fighting types. But there are only so many Fighting-type Pokémon who could go head-to-head with Arceus and come out on top. As the only pure Fighting-type Pokémon with a Gigantamax form, Machamp has to be the most likely contender.
As you may have guessed from the not-subtle hint, you'll need to capture all the remaining Pokemon before the Azure Flute will summon Arceus. That will mean capturing almost every Pokemon in the game, which is no simple task. You'll need 237 Pokemon in all, and it will be the first 237 in the Pokedex.
You can catch Arceus and Darkrai in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl after obtaining two special items. Players can now get two more mythical Pokemon in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. After downloading the games' 1.3.
